In 1927 he set-up S.O.S motors, in which he produced motorcycles himself for world-wide export using: Villiers, JAP and Python engines in a self designed chrome-molybdenum frame. He ran the company until Tommy Meeten took him over in 1932. He then started to concentrate on selling, repairing and selling parts and accessories for motorcycles. He ran up to seven branches in Birmingham UK. and nowadays just runs the one shop in Sparkbrook, Birmingham UK. Vale-Onslow's is a family firm with four employees: Len Jnr. (runs spares department), Peter (runs sales department), Jean (accounts and Mail Order) and Mark (spares). | ||
